Geographe Bay Tourism Association

 

A two hour drive south of Perth, Western Australia lies the sheltered shores of Geographe Bay and the Margaret River region. Voted one of the Top 10 places to visit in the world by Lonely Planet, the Margaret River region is famed for its breathtaking natural beauty.

From the heights of the largest remaining Tuart forest in the world at the Ludlow Tuart Forest to the depths of Australia’s greatest artificial reef at the Busselton Jetty.   •  Climb the lofty Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, one of Australia’s last manned lighthouses and take in the incredible views over the Indian Ocean & national park.

  •  Visit Ellensbrook historic homestead and get a feel for life as an early settler to the region as you visit the rooms of one of the first homes built in the area.

  •  Shop up a storm in Fig Tree Lane in Busselton, home to quirky and unique boutique stores.

  •  Take a leisurely ride through the forest (and even stop off for some wine!) with one of the great horse riding groups.

  •  Jump on the Jetty Train and visit the world famous Busselton Underwater Observatory

  •  Catch the giants of the sea on a whale watching tour from Busselton or Dunsborough
